Custom assets
Track things that don't exist in any market database — property, cars, collectibles, cash.
A lot of net worth lives outside stock exchanges. MyInvestments treats those the same as any other position — you just fill in every field yourself.
When to go custom
- Real estate — your apartment, a plot of land, a rental
- Vehicles — the car, the boat, anything depreciating
- Collectibles — watches, art, wine, rare coins
- Private holdings — shares in a company not listed anywhere
- Cash — bank account balances in any currency
What you fill in
Everything is editable:
- Name — "Apartment, Warsaw", "BMW X5", "1998 Rolex Submariner"
- Type —
Real estate,Other,Cash, etc. - Amount — usually
1for a single item - Average buy price — what you paid
- Current price — your estimate today (update it whenever you want)
- Currency — any of 30 supported
- Location — "Home safe", "Garage", "Bank X"
How the math works
A custom asset counts toward your Net worth and P/L just like any tracked instrument. The only difference: we don't update the current price for you. Re-value it when the market shifts — a property appraisal, a Bluebook check, a new auction comparable.
Custom assets show up in every chart and filter with everything else.
